A special lecture with the Korean consul

A special lecture with the Korean consul A special lecture with the Korean consul

A few weeks ago, there was a school visit by consuls from the Korean consulate. Kim Jung-jae, an international police, was one of the consuls who came at that time. We were honored to have a special lecture with the consul. He introduced the job of international police to Korean students in Léman and gave a good presentation for students who have a lot of worries about their future career.

About 40 Korean students attended the class. He first talked about what is important now when choosing a job and explained how to prepare for it now. Then, he showed videos to the students as to further convey what the occupation of international police entailed.

Through special lectures, students learned lots of important things in determining their future.

Student’s Reflection
A special class was really enjoyable, and I found out the class was really meaningful for me. To talk about the class, before the Consul started to talk about the police, he began by talking about our future and how to find valuable things in one’s life. His advice was helpful to me and everyone who was in the class, it gives me motivation, and it will be useful whenever I consider something to do in my life. Moreover, I learned what work police do, and how important they are in protecting citizens. One thing that was marvelous for me was that science and technology are related so much to the police job. It was a great honor to have a special class with him. Jaehan, from Year 11
It was interesting that the international police officer said to us not just the explanation of the job but the vision of the job. I have an interest in becoming an international police officer, so the explanation was helpful to me because I can get information about what major I should study to be an international police officer. On top of that, before I listened the special class, I thought an international police officer’s work is only protecting citizen who lives in other countries. However, there are various works that international police officers do such as delivering the information between each country, planning for strategy, educating citizens, etc. Yejin, from Year 10
My initial thought about Interpol was police that arrests crime that departure to another country. After hearing the lecture, I could have better understanding about what Interpol actually do.I’ve heard what kind of role Interpol has, their mentality when they work, and the priority that they always keep in their mind. I felt like this lecture is needed for one’s who desires to be interpole, because I feel like most people has misunderstanding about Interpol including me before hearing the lecture. I am solid that after hearing the lecture, everyone will have certainty about whether Interpol is the job you have imagined or it’s totally different what you have always thought. Youchan, from Year 10
