for grade 7 – 12 and the German parents
The film “Sonnenallee” is a comedy film set in East Berlin in the late 70s. The Sonnenallee is an actual street that was intersected by the border between East and West during the time of the Berlin Wall.
Mrs Ute Bischoff, who grew up in Leipzig, could answer the students’ questions on life in the former GDR.
Mr David Müller, one of the actors in “Sonnenallee”, informed us about the making of the film.
He also talked about life in West Berlin where he grew up.
We all enjoyed a very entertaining and informative afternoon.
