After-school learning a highlight at Regents International School Pattaya Regents International School Pattaya offers a remarkable number and range of after school activities. Regents has a reputation for offering its students a wide range of activities after the end of the school day, and this term’s selection proves why. With over thirty clubs to choose from in the Primary School and almost 45 in the Secondary School – plus IB Diploma and GCSE revision classes for those who are about to take exams – students are spoilt for choice.

For those who want to get physical, there are a wide range of options. One of the most exciting is a gymnastics course run by a seven-times Spanish champion and European and World Championship competitor. There’s also mountain biking and running in the countryside of East Pattaya, yoga, Zumba, football (soccer), rugby, swimming, Shaolin Wushu, Taekwondo, skateboarding, table tennis (ping pong), netball, basketball, badminton and more.

For those who prefer the creative and performing arts, it’s possible to choose from drama, ballet, the chamber orchestra, brass and woodwind group, ‘Glee’ Dance Club and even a Disney songs group! Action photography, ‘Art Attack!’ Thai crafts, cross-stitch, comic book art and environmental art are amongst those activities available for those students who really want to use their hands in a creative fashion.

As a Round Square school, we also make plenty of space for activities which allow us to work with and learn from our local community. Students are able to contribute after school to the excellent work of organisations like the Father Ray Day Care Centre, the Take Care Kids orphanage, Habitat for Humanity and the Mercy Centre.

Paul Crouch, who oversees the school’s ‘Extended Learning Programme’ commented: “The Extended Learning Programme (ELP) does exactly what its name implies: extend our students' learning beyond the classroom.  It is not an ‘add-on’ and they should not be seen as ‘extra’ curricular activities but a central part of the learning experience. At Regents, parents and teachers can really help students by directing them to choose extended learning opportunities that will challenge them and develop their thinking skills and values and enhance their overall learning. There are opportunities for everyone to discover a new passion or to challenge themself to master a new skill.”
