The students must now wait until July to receive their grades from the IB Diploma course and confirmation that they have achieved places at their first-choice university destinations. University offers have been particularly impressive this year, with eleven students set to join universities ranked within the World’s top 100 (World Ranking in brackets): The University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) (12); London School of Economics (32); The University of Melbourne (34); King’s College London (38); The University of Hong Kong (43); Seoul National University (44); University of California Davis (52); Erasmus University Rotterdam (73); Maastricht University (98); and York University (100)
Equally as impressive is the spread of degree courses they have selected to study, including Law, Economics, Fine Arts, Politics and International Relations, Management, Biomedical Genetics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical and Biological Engineering, Pharmacy, Psychology, Computer Science, Journalism, Optometry and Sports Therapy.
Principal, Mike Walton commented: “I would like to congratulate these students for the hard work and perseverance they have shown during their time at Regents. We shall miss them but I’m confident that each of them will go on to achieve great things in the future.”
“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at the Hilton Hotel, who went out of their way to make this event a great success, even in the face of a 10pm curfew!”
