February Highlights

12 March 2015

Despite a shortened month due to the mid-term holidays February was still huge month for Regents International School Pattaya with a number of sporting and international keeping staff and students busy right until the last day.

International Day at Regents

Another year and another spectacular International day was held at the school on the 13th of February. The day was one of celebration for the many cultures and nationalities we have at Regents.

Some of the most satisfyingly delicious food was on sale from all over the world. From Aussie sausages to Indian samosas – the choices were endless! There was also many entertain performances, a costume competition and a football tournament.

All students and teachers came dressed in their nations’ colours - it was an overall success, we look forward to the next one.

Korean and Chinese New Year

On the 12th of February the whole of the Primary school enjoyed celebrating Chinese and Korean New Year, a little early as school holidays prevented us from doing it on the actual day.

The morning started with the very popular Dragon Parade around the school oval led by our Early Years and Year 6 students who were both drumming and providing the ‘dragon’ for the parade. Staff and students had dressed well for the occasion and all were looking wonderful in traditional Chinese or Korean costumes.

Early Years and Primary Sports Days

The 3rd, 4th, and 5th of February last month played host to the primary sports days. Students made their way around the oval and the gym competing at different sports such as high jump, tennis ball throw and various track distances.

Regents’ parents are always encouraged to come down and support their children and many were present to capture those special sporting moments on camera. Each child received a medal and a participation certificate at the end, which resulted in much excitement and glee for all concerned.
