After gaining her qualified teachers status Suzi began working within a local village school in an affluent area. However, in a move to allow her to widen her experience she later sought out posts within several contrasting schools, located in areas of poverty and deprivation.
She became part of a Scottish Attainment Challenge team, working towards achieving equality in educational outcomes, with a particular focus on closing the poverty-related attainment gap. During this time she was a stage leader, and mentor for both university students and newly qualified teachers. After gaining a wealth of experience in differing settings she was inspired to pursue her goal of international teaching combining both her love of teaching and travel.
This will be her fourth year of teaching at Regents.
Outside of school she enjoys spending time with her son, and venturing to new places in Thailand and beyond.
