Prior to becoming a primary teacher, Amy gained a wealth of experience in the education world, working across many UK schools designing and delivering creative educational events for both students and staff, with a focus on STEAM. Creative, cross curricular teaching is a passion for Amy, and it is something she has continued to pursue and develop throughout her teaching career. During her 5 years teaching in the UK, Amy gained experience teaching from year 3 to year 7, and continued to develop her teaching practice through attending various training programs, and was selected to join the OTP (Outstanding Teacher Program).
Amy joined the Regents family in 2017, when she moved from the UK to Thailand with her family. In the three years she has lived here, she has been able to travel extensively, experience fantastic Thai culture and traditions, and expand her culinary skills though co-authoring a Thai cooking book with a Thai friend! She took some time out to welcome her daughter in 2019, and is now excited to be joining the team in a full time position again.
