Kate Sharples

Year 5 Teacher (Class 5I)

Kate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences (Genetics) from The University of Edinburgh and a PGCE from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. She has been a teacher for 14 years, working in England, Vietnam and Myanmar.

During my teaching career I have taught across the primary age range and have specialised in raising standards in Mathematics. I greatly believe in self-development and have completed a range of both educational and non-educational courses in my free time. Presently I am studying for a Masters in Education with the University of London.

I enjoy participating in a wide variety of sports, particularly cycling and squash and I am an avid participant at spinning classes. I am extremely proud of my stamp collection which I began from a very early age. I am also very passionate about vintage Vespas and Lambrettas. I enjoy dedicating my time to looking after my two dogs and also helping to care for dogs without loving homes.
