Kate Sweetlove

Mathematics Teacher

Kate holds a BA(Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford and a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics from the University of Exeter.

After graduating, Kate worked in a leading Zimbabwean school for two years, as a teacher of O and A levels and Head of Department. On her return to the UK she was offered a role in BBC News and Current Affairs, which led to a successful career in Training Management and Organisational Change Consultancy in broadcasting, healthcare and information technology.

Having always intended to return to teaching, in 2016 Kate joined the two year Teach First Leadership Development programme during which she taught Mathematics in a Southampton secondary school while obtaining her PGCE and QTS certification.

She joins us from a St Stephen's International School in Bangkok where she spent four years teaching IGCSE and A Level Mathematics.

Outside of school, Kate enjoys playing tournament Scrabble, travelling, listening to music and spending time with friends and family.
