Head of Science / Chemistry Teacher

Tamika holds a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from the University of The West Indies (Trinidad) and completed the Graduate Teacher Training Programme (UK) as a route to becoming a qualified teacher.

She is currently completing an MA in Education in Leading Innovation and Change through St. Mary’s University (UK). Tamika has 18 years of experience as a teacher and leader in both British and international schools.

Her career began in London where, after relocating from Trinidad, she taught science in several different schools. Her passion for teaching and learning and teacher development drove her to become qualified as an Advanced Skills Teacher, a role which she embraced for 5 years.

After leading 2 Science departments successfully in different schools in London, she expatriated to start teaching internationally. Shortly after her arrival in Qatar, to a large British International school, she started in the role of a Deputy Head of School, where she worked for 5 years.

She is privileged to be part of the Regents community. Outside of school she loves travelling with her family.
