Angelo Karagiannis is a teacher of physical education, a high performance coach and a long distance runner. He holds a BSc (Hons) from East Anglia Polytechnic University, a PGCE in Secondary Education from University of Surrey and a Postgraduate Certificate in Sport from the University of Stirling, specialising in coaching athletes for performance.
With 20 years of teaching experience, he has worked with enthusiasm to implement teaching initiatives across the Whole School environment. He brings ideas, energy and enthusiasm to teaching with a focus on helping students to fulfil their potential.
He has worked to raise money for charity, such as a running 50km trail race, to support the HDF Mercy centre in Bangkok.Moreover, he has worked towards getting people healthy and fit, through collaborating with Enertor, in launching the running world cup initiative.
In addition to running for charity, he is a dedicated competitive long-distance runner and has competed at over 110 events,to distances up to and inclusive of 100km. Recent running successes include winning the 15 km of the North Face Thailand Trail race and the Columbia Trail Masters 11km, finishing third overall.
Apart from teaching, coaching and competing he enjoys helping others improve their English language. Recent publications include the eBook 'Secrets of accelerating the process of learning English' which is available through Amazon website in Kindle format.
