Shanghai Scots' Burns Supper

08 January 2014

A traditional Scottish occasion which occurs each year on January 25th, the birth date of Robert Burns, gets Scottish families and friends together to celebrate the life and times of this world-famous poet and lyricist. The meal of Haggis, Neeps and Tatties is accompanied by lively performances of his work by members of the Scots community.

On Saturday 25th January join the Shanghai Scots and British Chamber of Commerce as they present Burns Night 2014 at the Marriott City Center at 7:00pm. Reserve your seat for RMB900 (for members) or RMB 1,100.

This excellent, stylish Burns Supper includes a luxurious Scottish meal of cock-a-leekie soup, haggis, neeps and tatties, cranachan, beer and Scotch whisky.  The entertainment includes cultural performances, bagpipes, lively songs and proper ceilidh with a ceilidh band flown in especially.

This is one of many tens of thousands of events being held by Scots societies the world over. Don't miss out on the opportunity to experience some proper Scottish hospitality, you won't be disappointed!
