The Circle of Life

17 November 2015

Year 1 has been very busy learning about life cycles! Using our new story, The Teeny Weeny Tadpole, the children have been learning that every creature has a life cycle; from tiny ants to gigantic elephants!

They have also been investigating different sorts of animals and how their life cycles might differ from each other. Do dogs lay eggs? Do birds grow hair? Can a human sprout feathers? We have had a lot of big questions and we have all worked hard to answer them.

To finish our science work, we created life cycle hats in class for the life cycle of a frog. The children could see that life goes on and on as animals reproduce; it really is the circle of life!
