Some 9,000 of these hongbao, featuring her super cute and colourful picture of a sheep, have been distributed to schools where SODEXO provides catering services in Beijing, Suzhou, Shanghai, Wuxi and Tianjin.
In a special presentation held today, SODEXO Regional Director for China, Henri-Charles Claude along with Michael Martin, SODEXO Area Manager for East China, praised Pauline’s work and said it was a real standout in the competition which was blind judged by a panel from SODEXO.
Mr Claude joked, “We didn’t even know you were French!” (Pauline is French and so is SODEXO)
Pauline received a 1,000RMB Amazon voucher, and as the winning school, The Learning Centre also received 3,000RMB in cash to be used for purchasing books.
Mrs Wallace, Mr Howard and Head of Creative Arts, Mrs Funnell also attended; Mrs Funnell suggested Pauline might like to suggest some art books that could be purchased with the prize money for The Learning Centre.
This year’s hongbao competition was a first for SODEXO, but Mr Claude revealed it was so successful that the company is now considering a Christmas card competition. Watch this space!
Pauline’s artwork is also in the running to be chosen for the Time Out Family Cover Competition – you can vote here.
Congratulations!
