Literary Evening Invitation

26 February 2015

Join us for an evening of enthralling tales of Shanghai and travel through China at our BISS Pudong Literary Evening with guests Spencer Dodington and Graham Earnshaw.

Spencer Dodington

Long before the glittering glass towers of Pudong graced the Shanghai skyline, the city’s architecture was celebrated around the world. Author, Architect and Designer, Spencer Dodington will take us on a fascinating journey back to the height of Shanghai’s famed Art Deco period, revealing his quest to dig up the stories of the people and places at the heart of the period which are central to his book, Shanghai’s Art Deco Master – The Life and Times of Paul Veysserye.

Graham Earnshaw
Walking across China might not sound like the best way to spend your holidays, but that’s exactly what Graham Earnshaw decided to do in 2004. The Great Walk of China is the book that resulted from his experiences and conversations he has with people along the way. While the book was published in 2010, his walking continues. Graham will take us on his own epic journey as walker, writer, journalist and musician.

Thursday 5th March, 6.30pm for 7pm in the Auditorium, BISS Pudong
Admission is free & refreshments will be served.
