Students have made great progress in their English learning, with the beginners getting to grips with their phonics while the more fluent students have been experimenting with their nifty nouns, vibrant verbs and adventurous adjectives.
Our preparations for our final production of Cinderella are going along well, with our Music teachers, Mr Graham and Mrs Crossan, working with the students on the songs. Taking a different take on music, the students also had the chance to learn the djembe drum from West Africa with Mr Gichana this week. The class was a huge hit!
The children have also enjoyed cooking classes making sweet treats from biscuits, marshmallows and lots of gooey chocolate, as well as staying active with football and yoga, as well as a variety of other challenging and fun sports activities with Mr Rowlings and Mr Haley.
Mr Pritchard was thrilled with the skill and determination of the students making cute bunnies and hopping frogs during his origami classes. The frogs were put to the test with a hopping competition and some were even able to perform somersaults. The children also were challenged in Mrs Rowlings’ art class to work on symmetry and accuracy creating self-portraits.
