Yesterday, the teachers made very good use of the time at school to catch up on the myriad jobs (other than teaching fantastic lessons!) which form part of a teacher’s role, such as moderation, planning assessments for Cycle 2, reviewing data to inform their planning, updating Managebac for our IB students, getting ahead on marking, and contributing to discussions about future developments.
It was really good to see so many Year 11 students and parents at the Academic Review Evening yesterday. This is such an important time for these students as they learn from their mock examinations and begin their final preparations for the May/June examinations. These may not seem all that close to a 15/16 year old, but those remaining few teaching weeks (just 11, if I’ve counted correctly!) will fly by and the first exam will be here before they know it. We will be working with our students, in both 11 and 13, who are preparing for exams, to make sure they have the revision strategies in place to be well placed for exam success.
This Sunday is, of course, the Temple Fair, and we hope that many of you will join us for what promises to be a fantastic cultural event. I look forward to seeing you there.
Kind regards
Dinah Hawtree
