Term One has officially come to an end and the students have eagerly waited to see who will be the overall House Champions for 2016. Just in the last two weeks, students across the years in the Secondary School, have competed against each other in the House Xmas Tree and Football competitions. During last week, student brought in their decorations and then had the chance to decorate their tree in a timed competition. With a difficult decision to be made by the judges, De house won – firing them into the lead with 200 bonus house points!
In the last Assembly of term, not only was the winning house announced, but also students were commended and awarded for their individual house points that they have collated over the first term. Students in Year 7-9 received certificates for achieving 50, 100 and 150 house points. Special mention should go to Erik Arts and Warren Gichana who have both nearly reached 200 house points. These two students won a power pack charger, worth over 70RMB for their efforts!

All students in Years 10-13 have been collecting their house points also, and for every one they achieved, they have been given a lucky house ticket which they place in the ‘lucky box’. At the end of every term four tickets will be drawn from the box to win a prize. Mrs Wallace drew out the tickets this term and Annefloor Gabrielse, Riccardo Perone, Lawrence Zuo and Gaia Becker won themselves a Polaroid instant camera, worth over 300RMB. Well done guys!
A final well done should be given to De house, who have topped the house leader board this term.
