Information and Reminders
A reminder that school starts at 8.30am prompt. Please ensure your child arrives at school ready to be in class at 8.30am.
There are several children who are forgetting their PE clothes on a regular basis. Please see the PE schedule below. If your child is not participating in the lesson, please could you let the class teacher know.

Wednesday 17th February – Early Years and Infant parent workshop and coffee morning 9:00am - 10:00am. The theme for this workshop will be Reading and Phonics.
Thursday 3rd March - Year 1 trip to the Sculpture Park
English
In English this week, the children will be using their persuasive skills to write a letter to suggest ways of protecting historical landmarks and tourist attractions around the world.
Your child's class teacher has put a list of resources on Class Dojo to help you to support your child at home with their Reading and Phonics work. Please check regularly for updated resources.
Mathematics
In Mathematics, the children will begin to understand multiplication, division and doubling through grouping and sharing small quantities. They will select and arrange objects, make predictions and solve problems related to the different operations.
The children will consolidate learning their 2, 5 and 10 times tables.
Topic
The Personal Goal we will be focusing on this week is 'Resilience'.
As ‘Geographers' the children will begin to look at the air quality in Shanghai. They will work in groups to think of an imaginative way to create a pollution tracker. The children will observe the weather over a period of time and then collate the results.
As ‘Scientists' the children will continue to explore man-made and natural resources by organising different materials and investigate the importance of both.
