Fitness on the iPad

01 March 2016

In this day and age, getting our students to move away from technology and become more active can sometimes be a challenge. However, the PE Department is now using technology to enhance students’ fitness.

Fitness is a newly introduced unit within Year 7-9 Physical Education this year and it is a topic that is embedded throughout all of our units of work. All students have attempted a variety of methods of fitness testing and have been subject to training methods to improve performance.

The SWORKIT App has been introduced to all students in Year 7-9; with this App, students have been able to plan their own exercise routines which are personal to them. This means that they have a programme that they can do either at home or at school, at the end of the day or at the weekend.
