In English this week, the children will be reading the story 'Whatever Next'. The children will use their exploration skills to investigate the characters' thoughts and feelings. They will sequence the story and re-write their own version to create a class book.

Our grammar focus for this week: capital letters, full stops, time connectives and bossy verbs.

In Mathematics this week, the children will continue to solve one-step problems involving division. They will be encouraged to calculate answers and use pictorial representations and arrays to demonstrate their understanding.

The children will continue to develop counting in multiples of three, five, ten and two.

The Personal Goal we will be focusing on this week is 'Adaptability'.

Topic this week will follow a space theme. As 'Artists' we will explore the work of Vincent Van Gogh's 'Starry Night' painting. The children will use different mediums to create their own version. As 'Scientists' the children will design and create their own rockets! If parents have any suitable materials that the children could use, please send them in. After the rockets have been completed the children will write and film their own instructions.
