Throughout this week we will be reading and completing activities based on The Man on the Moon by Simon Bartram. This fits in with our Book Week theme of space and science-fiction.
Our learning objectives covered will include:

- To use commas in a list
- To use the present and past tense correctly
- To use conjunctions to extend our sentences
- To develop positive attitudes for writing
- To develop stamina for writing
Maths
This week in maths our focus will be multiplication and division.
Our learning objectives covered will include:
- To recall and use multiplication and division facts for the 2, 5 and 10 tables
- To calculate mathematical statements for multiplication and division
- Solve problems involving multiplication and division, using materials, arrays, repeated addition and mental methods
Topic
We will continue our topic ‘People Of The Past’, this week linking our topic to our Book Week theme and having more of a science focus.
Our learning objectives covered will include:
- To identify differences between their own lives and those of people who lived in the past
- To find out aspects of the past from a range of sources
- To find out about a famous scientist - Edward Jenner
