Information and Reminders
Thank you to those parents who came in to speak to the children about the evolution of cars. The children were very excited to explore and investigate the finer details of a car! We are busy preparing our exit point for our current IPC topic 'Time Travellers.' We would like to invite parents in on Wednesday 18th May 11:00am - 12:05pm, to share and celebrate our learning. In English this week, the children will be preparing their work to present to you during the exit point. They will write a recount about the experience focusing on including the following features: applying taught phonics strategies to spell and write words, use different punctuation features and conjunctions to join sentences.
The children will work on mentally adding and halving numbers. They will solve one-step missing numbers problems involving subtraction. They will use objects and practical resources to represent their work.
This week, we will recall number bonds up to 20, including both additive and subtractive forms.
The Personal Goal we will be focusing on this week is 'cooperation'.
The children have shown such great enthusiasm for our current IPC topic and are looking forward to sharing their work with you. This week, the topic will conclude with the exit point. The children will be working hard to complete their final piece of work a stop motion film in preparation for the event.
