Meanwhile, our Year 11 students continue to sit their IGCSE examinations, right through until 17 June, when they too will have a celebratory party. Our students in Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 are also preparing for their end-of-year assessments and examinations, the majority of which take place between next Monday 23 June and Friday 3 June. Once these are completed, students will have the opportunity to let off some steam at the Summer Fun Day on 4 June, for which we hope you will join us. Normal lessons will resume for most students on 6 June, and will focus on the all-important feedback – to help students understand how to do even better in the next test or exam.
Our final week of term will be an introduction to the IB for Year 11, a core focus week for Year 12, and a week of ‘Learning beyond the classroom’ for Years 7 to 10. Further details on all of these will be shared with you later this month.
This afternoon, we are welcoming Dr Beth Rutkowski from Olivia’s Place into school to lead a parent workshop on ‘Supporting Children Through Adolescence’. This is the first event of this kind that we have hosted here, and we will be keen to get feedback from those attending to understand if it is something that parents would appreciate more of.
I look forward to seeing many of you at one or more of these events, and wish you all a lovely weekend.
