Summer Fun Day – It was great to see so many of you at the Summer Fun Day. I’m sure you will agree it was a marvelous day as the sun shone down on us. See pictures of Year 10 attached.
SISAC Netball – Some of our Year 10 girls were competing in their SISAC Netball finals on the day of the Summer Fun Day. The girls put in an amazing performance, especially having no substitutes, losing narrowly to Dulwich in the final. Involved throughout the campaign were: Javiera Rojas, Lovisa Lindquist, Giulia Teobaldi, Amelia Murphy and Sarah Thornton.
Learning Beyond the Classroom Week –Thank you to all for sending reply permission slips for the final week of term. It promises to be a fun week, with exciting and worthwhile activities throughout. A reminder of the overview of the week:
Monday – Enterprise Day
Tuesday – Film Making Workshop
Wednesday – The Amazing Race
Thursday – Secondary School Sports Day
Friday – Tutor groups, assembly and goodbyes
And finally… This is the last Newsletter of the year that I will write to you. In the international school and expat world, this is always a time of the year with mixed emotions, as we say goodbye to many friends, peers and colleagues. If you are moving on, I wish you and your families all the best in your new ventures. If you are staying here at NAIS Pudong, I hope your child continues to go from strength to strength and has a happy and successful Year 11.
From me personally, it is goodbye. I will be leaving these shores for a new foreign venture. It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know you all over the past two years. The student and parent body in this school really is warm, caring and kind. I leave your children next year in the more than capable hands of Ms. Jeffery, who takes over the year group as Year 11 Leader.
Take care and all the best for the future,
Joseph Dawson – Year 10 Leader
