I am so proud of the students in Year 9. It has been a pleasure watching them grow and mature over the course of the year. I will remain as Year 9 Leader next year and so will be passing the students into the pastoral care of Mr Siccardi who will continue to guide them through their IGCSE. Of course, I will always be available to support them and will continue to keep an eye on their development and journey through education. I would like to say thank you to all the parents for their continued support throughout the year, a good luck and farewell to those students who are moving on to pastures new and, to those coming back in August, have a fantastic summer and see you all rested and ready to go on your return.
Have a fantastic summer.

Learning Beyond the Classroom
Next week is an exciting one for students in the Secondary school. The week is dedicated to learning conducted beyond the classroom and there are a range of trips and activities planned for the students designed to enrich and enhance learning. You will have already received a letter outlining details for the week but I will include again the plan for the week.

Summer Fun Day
Thank you to all the students who volunteered their time to set up and run the games on the Summer Fun Day on 4th June. It was a wet and miserable Friday and we waited for the decision to be made. Our Community Group had faith and decided, no matter what, it wouldn’t be raining on Saturday. And it was the correct decision in the end! What a success! Instead of umbrellas we were reaching for the sunscreen. The students' efforts on the day were tremendous and they showed true leadership qualities. The Year 9 students were responsible for the ‘Games’ section, based under the big marquee. Circus Games, Games of Luck and Games of Skill were the main themes and visitors had to attempt the games to get their stamps and win a prize. I would like to thank all those who volunteered their time. A job well done! What a great day and a massive thanks to the Community Group and especially Jodi Dexter for all their help and organising of this fantastic event!
Global Campus Photographer of the Year
Back by popular demand! We are delighted to announce the return of the photography calendar competition - 2016 'Global Campus Photographer of the Year' competition. In the meantime, please encourage students to head to the online area (which can be accessed from the Competition page) to vote on the theme. If you have any additional suggestions for a theme, please do let us know! (global.campus@nordanglia.com)
Final View from the Classroom
Just one this week from Science - Studying inheritance in science. We have extracted DNA from peas, discussed evolution and even simulated and modelled how genetics play a role in the phenotype of their offspring!
