Wednesday was equally as busy but we had a super time in the morning, all getting together for our final assembly of the year. This too was another opportunity for parents to attend and we all shared some of the ‘best bits’ from each phase in the Primary school – Early Years, Infants and Juniors. We also heard from some of our specialist teachers who shared how proud they were of what the students had achieved in their lessons and at special events throughout the year. Mr Scrymgeour was able to give us the House Point total of the term and we congratulated De and Li on being the winners. It was also a perfect opportunity for me to thank everyone for all of their hard work and effort this academic year, and for making my first year here at NAIS Pudong a really enjoyable one.
Later on Wednesday afternoon our Primary students enjoyed their class parties and there was an abundance of food which the children (and teachers) delighted in sampling. I don’t think any of them would have needed dinner when they got home yesterday evening!
Today has been an exciting time for students as they will have met their new teacher for next year. The students all got into their new class groups and then went to their new classrooms to find out all about their new teacher for next year. For any teachers who have not yet joined us, they had kindly prepared us a film or PowerPoint to watch which we were able to show the class. Today, the students will bring their new class and teacher information home in their school report.
As you know, tomorrow will be a shorter day for our students and they will finish at 12pm.
In signing off my very last newsletter of this academic year, I would like to wish you all a wonderful summer holidays with your families and safe travels wherever you may be adventuring off to!
