After that, the students met their teachers and teaching assistants and then went to their classrooms to begin their summer school experience.
And what an experience it is turning out to be!
The students have spent the last week drawing, painting, tracing, colouring, cutting, crafting, building, jumping, dancing, doing yoga, singing, playing football, learning English skills and music lyrics – plus much more. It certainly has been a busy and happy time for everyone.
Parents are sent photos and little updates almost on an hourly basis through the Class Dojo network and they have been delighted with how active and engaged all the children are.
The teachers and teaching assistants have all had a great week meeting the students and getting to know them, and we all look forward to next week where more great summer activities will keep the children entertained and educated.
