Information and Reminders
Happy New Year! A big welcome back to all of our returning students and an extra special welcome to the new families who have joined us this term.
Drop off – We would greatly appreciate your support with dropping your child off to school between 8.30-8.45am at the latest; this way we can start our morning circle by 9am.
Don’t forget our Primary Academic Review Evenings taking place on Tuesday 17th and Thursday 19th January from 5pm to 8pm. Information on how to make an appointment was sent out earlier this week. Please let your child’s class teacher know if you did not receive this.
January and February are usually the coldest months of the year in Shanghai. Please make sure your child comes to school every wearing the correct Early Years winter uniform, and with appropriate layers to equip them for the playground.

Overview of next week’s learning
We will continue to focus on smooth transitions back into school life and will welcome some more new joiners in the Giraffe class next week. Our focus will be in developing the children’s personal, social and emotional development through songs and stories. This is also cross-curricular and will develop their communication and language and build on their English vocabulary; the focus being the names of the parts of our face and body. During our Welcome circle time, we will talk about our feelings and about being happy or sad.
