We are also very good at counting down to the next holiday.
At the beginning of the year, we did some counting of our own, and made changes to the academic calendar. With the support of our stakeholders, we updated the calendar to reflect the following changes:

The first of the rescheduled dates are nearly upon us, so I thought it best to send out a quick reminder. The long weekend originally scheduled for 3rd - 6th March has been removed, and are now normal school days.
In the unlikely event your child tells you there is a holiday next Friday and Monday, this is no longer the case. At those times, our secondary students in Years 7-10 and Year 12 will be engaged in their second assessment cycle. If you are like me and have term dates stuck to the fridge to track your life, you may wish to check you have the correct calendar version. A printable PDF version can be found here.
Term 2 now consists of a long but productive stretch of 8 weeks with limited interruptions, finishing on Friday 31st March. In addition, the final day of the 2016-2017 academic year has been moved ahead one week to June 23rd, to better
accommodate our parents' summer holiday travel plans.
As we all like to plan in advance, please also find the 2017-18 calendar here. Please note that we do not intend on making any edits, but the Chinese Public Holidays can at times be subject to change.
Enjoy counting and planning for the rest of this year and into next!
