Please remember that the school uniform policy can be found in your child’s learning journal with pictures for your reference.
Girls may wear a teal polo t-shirt, a navy school jogging top, navy jogging bottoms, skorts, white/black or grey socks/tights (with no patterns or designs), black/navy/white shoes or trainers.
Boys may wear a teal polo shirt, a navy school jogging top, navy jogging bottoms, navy shorts, grey trousers, white/black or grey socks (with no patterns or designs), black/navy/white shoes or trainers.
If you wish to add layers under the uniform, please ensure they are teal/black or white coloured with no patterns or designs.
We are continuing to monitor that uniforms are in line with school policy across the school so that there is consistency. We will also be having school photos shortly and children must be wearing the correct school uniform for these. Thank you in advance for your help with this.

Overview of Learning
This week, we have been helping the aliens that visited us by designing spaceships for them to use in order for them to return home. As we approach the end of our topic, we will focus on information books and in particular, non-fiction books about our planets and the solar system. As a challenge, we will provide the children with a mnemonic to help them remember the planets in order. We will also look at the differences between the planets and how they change in relation to their distance from the sun.
Next week in maths, we will be exploring subtraction. We will be introducing this concept in a very practical way with the children physically taking away objects to work out the answers. We will use key vocabulary such as ‘fewer’ and ‘less’ and focussing on what happens to numbers when we subtract.
