Information and Reminders
School Photos – PN1 Giraffes will have their school photos taken first thing on the morning of Monday 20th March. Kindly ensure that your child is in school between 8.30-8.45am as we are the first session and need to be on time. It is really important that children look smart in their correct Early Years uniform - teal polo long sleeved t-shirt, navy bottoms and either navy, black or grey shoes. Thank you for your support with this.
We are celebrating the infamous William Shakespeare next week who wrote many famous plays during the Tudor times. Obviously as we are only little we are adapting it to make it age appropriate and are focusing on the animated movie ‘Gnomeo & Juliet’ which is of course is based on ‘Romeo & Juliet’. One of our activities is a ‘Pyjama Day’ on Wednesday where we will be screening part of ‘Gnomeo & Juliet’ as a ‘movie night’ (but during the school day of course) with warm chocolate to drink and popcorn as a treat. Therefore please send your child dressed in their favourite cosy pyjamas with a cuddly toy on this day.
Book Swap – If you have any unwanted books at home that you are willing to donate, you may bring them into school and your child can swap them for another book on Thursday or Friday of next week.
Book Fair – we will have external vendors in school from Wednesday 22nd to Friday 24th March selling a range of books. Students will have an opportunity to make a wish list of books they like, which they can bring home to show you, before purchasing any.

We will focus on the Gnomeo & Juliet story and base some arts and crafts activities around this and in the water tray we will have a small pond as you may have down at the bottom of the garden and talk to the children about the different living organisms that live in a pond. We will also continue with our farm theme, this week focusing on hens and how they give us eggs.
