Information and Reminders
This is a reminder to keep up with the uniform standard you have now set in our class. Our class is looking fantastic and we will be great for our class photos on Tuesday. Please try to wear only grey, white or blue long sleeves under your school shirt for us to look extra smart.
Next Wednesday however, we are asking the children to come to school in pyjamas. They will be treated to a movie day with hot chocolate and popcorn. We will watch “Gnomeo and Juliette” which is the children’s version of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliette”.
On Friday children may dress up as any Shakespeare character. This may be any dress from Tudor times around the reign of Queen Elizabeth 1. They may dress as kings or queens, princesses, or any character from a Shakespeare play.
Book Swap - If you would like to be involved the book swap, which is optional, please send in a good quality book that you can part with. Your child will receive a coupon and have the opportunity to choose a new book from the collection.
Book Fair – we will have external vendors in school from Wednesday 22nd to Friday 24th March selling a range of books. Students will have an opportunity to make a wish list of books they like, which they can bring home to show you, before purchasing any.

Overview of next week’s learning
We will be doing a lot of story-telling next week. Children are asked to bring their favourite story book. Please write their name in it. And they will have opportunities to read it during the day in our DEAR initiative – Drop Everything And Read. Please be sure to make it clear which book is for reading and which is for the book swap. Perhaps write in their communication book or in pencil in front of the book. We will be celebrating books throughout the week and knowing how much this class enjoys stories it should be a fun week.
