Overview of next week’s learning

Our learning in Nursery next week will consolidate what we have learnt over this last half term. In maths we will continue with counting and number recognition games and activities linked to our focus story Supertato, and practice writing down the numbers of objects that are counted.

In Literacy the children will enjoy listening for and identifying different everyday sounds through playing sound bingo. The children will also continue learning to orally segment and blend simple vocabulary words such as cat, dog, pen, hen. As well as play rhyming word games.

The children will also take turns to choose familiar stories to retell in small groups from our talk for writing stories earlier on in this term.
