Another fortnight has sped by and as usual it was action packed. Many of our sport stars have been involved in Volleyball tournaments, football matches and have been supporting our younger students at the Swimming Gala. We are also moving closer and closer to the much awaited production of ‘Into the Woods’. Remember tickets can be purchased from the main reception.
We welcomed a new student Karin this week. I am glad to see her has settled in well and as always I am proud of how the students in our school welcome new students. This week sees the beginning of Career week here at NAIS which is a perfect opportunity for all our students to gain and insight into possibilities for the future. It is especially pertinent for our Year 9 students who are just completing Career Exploration in Guidance. The recent Guidance lessons should have the students brimming with questions that they would like to be answered. All students have been invited to attend lunchtime seminars in a variety of different career fields. Please see photo attached for a reminder.
Finally wishing the Year 9 students involved in FOBISIA all the best in Kuala Lumpar this weekend. Good luck!
Assessment Cycle 2 is up and running. I know that our Year 9 students have been busy revising. I have attached a copy of the schedule for your convenience.

Reminder about Higher Education
- An important date for the diary is Wednesday 15th March when we will hold our annual Higher Education Fair. This year we will be running a series of Careers lectures in the run up to the Higher Education Fair where students sign up for one or more talks given by professionals from an interesting array of backgrounds. This will be an excellent opportunity to consider different lines of work, how to get into those areas and the variety of jobs available.
- Wednesday 15th March promises to be a buzzing afternoon with over 70 universities from around the world filling our Sports Hall B to introduce their programmes and facilities. This is a crucial time for our students to be asking questions and introducing themselves so that they can put a face to their future applications. Parents are warmly welcome to the fair which starts at 1.30pm and finishes at 4pm.
- From Wednesday 8th – Tuesday 14th March there will be daily careers talks over lunchtime in the IB Academy. I would love to see Year 9 taking the opportunity to listen to the talks as it will tie in nicely with our current guidance topic. Arrangements for the Hub will be made to accommodate students attending the talks.
Class Dojo
I hope you have all been enjoying the posts on Class Dojo. It makes me marvel how much the students are actually doing each day. Next week I will send out a survey asking for your feedback on the app. I would appreciate your time to fill in the questionnaire.
