Also this week, we saw our football teams go to Beijing to complete in the ACAMIS tournament and so far the news has been very positive with the girls winning all their games and the boys with one draw and the rest wins. We wish them all the best for the remaining matches and look forward to seeing all the updates on Facebook.
We would also like to celebrate the fantastic assembly last week led by the Year 12 students who will are in the process of organising the regional Model United Nations (MUN) conference that will be held at our school in November. To introduce the conference and what it means to be part of the MUN experience the students demonstrated a resolution debate. It was a powerful way to introduce the critical thinking skills required and they demonstrated insight and depth beyond their years.
Next week will be the last week with our Year 13 students. We can’t believe that they are almost at the end of their IB journey. Of course there is still a significant challenge ahead, their examinations; however their focused, positive and diligent engagement with the revision programme bodes well for a very successful outcome. We wish them all the best for their first examination on Friday and before we know it they will be celebrating together at the Gap and Gown event.
Best wishes,
Carol Camargo and Therese Andrews
