Message from the Principal

28 April 2017

This week is pivotal in the school calendar, as of yesterday we bid farewell to the final days of formal schooling for our Year 13 students. As they left the building as students for the final time, emotions were stirred, as verses from the poignant Beatles song You’ll Never Walk Alone, could be heard across the playing fields and corridors. These words really highlight the power of collaboration and support for one other. It was certainly an emotive day for students and staff alike. Memories were shared and acknowledgments were made of how much this group of fantastic students had matured and developed, consistently acting as ambassadors and role models to our younger student body.

We don’t wish them luck -- they don’t need this. They are well-prepared and ready to take on the last hurdles before they reach the end of their IB journey with us.  So as the exams are truly underway, so is the excitement building lower down the school. We wish our four MIT representatives from Year 6 and 7 the very best, as they head off to fly the flag for NAIS at the Cambridge science fair. What an amazing opportunity this will be, to partake in such a unique opportunity at the world’s leading university. Miss Andrews will be sharing more details on her return as it will be full STEAM ahead as we launch our collaboration with MIT.
