Overview of Learning
This week the children have produced some fantastic writing based around the story of the “Enormous Turnip”. We were so impressed with the quality of the writing that was produced and the children worked extremely hard with their re-telling. Next week, we will be looking at the work of Van Gogh and in particular, focusing on his still-life paintings of sunflowers. The children will have the opportunity to create their own works of art and also explore how plants survive. We will complete a science experiment during the week that shows how plants absorb water through their roots and how this water makes its way to the rest of the plant. We will continue with the theme of time for our maths learning, looking at various times of the day and telling the time to the nearest hour.
