Information and reminders
As the weather is warmer, children should now wear their summer uniform. Please check the school website for information about the correct uniform. https://www.nordangliaeducation.com/schools/shanghai/pudong/our-students/student-life-the-essentials/what-we-wear-uniform
In order for the children to look smart, can I remind parents that the children should be wearing black shoes not trainers. On days when they have PE, they still need to bring their school uniform to get changed into after the session. It is important the children understand, that for hygiene purposes we should get changed after completing physical activities.
If your child’s daily pick up arrangements need to change, please communicate this information with the child’s class teacher as well as the bus monitor. This will enable teachers to keep children safe.
Please note that IB exams have now begun and will be taken in the Primary building. The main staircase in B Block will remain closed and all students and adults should use alternative staircases. Please can we ask parents not to wait in the area outside the Hive, outside Sports Hall B or along the Year 3 classrooms, as we need to ensure silence for our older students. Parents are always welcome to go to Aspretto, our coffee shop, whilst waiting for students. Thank you for your support.
We hope you have an enjoyable long weekend.

Next week, the children will continue to explore the world around them. They will look at how plants grow and discuss the different plants and flowers growing within the school grounds. Linked to the story being read in English ‘The Tiny Seed’ the children will create their own art pieces in the style of Eric Carle, which is a technique based on Matisse’s style of art.
