Nord Anglia Global Challenge Competition

Last week we submitted this video to the Nord Anglia Global Challenge Competition. We are very excited about the work that we are doing to address the Sustainable Development Goals Two and Three and can’t wait to see what our students achieve by the end of the year.

  • Global Challenge

The Secondary students have a request for bottles to help them with their project:

The STEAM team and students participating in the United Nations Higher Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development will be building a plastic bottle greenhouse to grow assorted vegetables and fruits. This is in accordance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2: ‘end hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture’. Through this scheme, we hope to provide fresh produce to those within our local community and raise awareness of the issue of food security. In order to do this, a significant number of plastic bottles will be needed. Therefore, we would appreciate any help in obtaining plastic bottles. We accept all bottles of any size and shape as long as they are made of transparent plastic (preferably non-coloured). Thank you very much for any help!

Benedicte Vestrum and Fernanda Brava are leading the younger students in this project and they will be going to the UN High Level Political Forum in July to feedback to UN representatives about our work on addressing the Global Goals.

Please do support them by bringing bottles to Miss Andrews’ office (C204).
