Information and Reminders
Well done to all students upon finishing the Porridge production! It was a big team effort to get the whole year group (and 200 KS2 students in total) on and off stage in their costumes, with props, and at the right time! The children showed great spirit and perseverance to apply themselves to practising alongside FOBISIA, SATs, and all the other demands of school.
All parents are invited to attend the Year 6 elections, which will occur at 8.40am on the morning of Tuesday 20th. Students will be campaigning to be chosen as ‘Leaders of the World’ in our final project of Primary School. We look forward to seeing you there.
We are happy to announce that the RMB2113.60 raised in our Fairground exit point will be donated to two children’s charities which are supported by our Community Group: Heart to Heart Shanghai, which sponsors extremely poor children from the provinces for heart surgery, oversees and volunteers in 2 hospital playrooms 7 days a week, and donates school libraries in poor rural areas. We also donated to Baobei, who provide surgery to rural orphans, then place those children in homes with local and expat families that take care of the children (with their own money) until the child is adopted.
Please be reminded to submit Year 7 languages choices for those who have not done so. Also, I would appreciate a few moments of your time to complete a short survey about Year 6 projects: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MGQJGSJ

Time is short in mathematics, with only two full lessons due to other activities this week. We’ll finish off the lunar theme park design and building task and present to each class.
We will finish our final Topic ‘Champions for Change’, which is based upon governments and leadership. Students will campaign for votes in the final election on Tuesday morning. They will deliver speeches and try to stand out from the crowd.
