Message from Primary

19 August 2017

Orientation day is an occasion for excitement for all involved. The excitement of students returning to see their friends and the prospect of new teachers; the excitement of parents seeing their children moving up to the next year group and excitement for teachers to show off their efforts in preparing the school.

This year our Primary Orientation took on a greater significance as we have been able to show off all the hard work that has been happening over the holiday, to our school community. We have made great changes to the school this summer and judging by everyone’s reaction it has been a well-received change.

Our lower floor of B Block now homes the amazing Early Years unit and we look forward to welcoming our youngest students through the new Early Years entrance, which can be accessed via the renovated amphitheatre.

For Years 1 to 4, they are now situated on the middle floor of B Block and we would like those students, along with their parents, to use our new Primary entrance next to the bus park.

And finally, Years 5 and 6 classrooms are on the top floor of B Block and students are asked to use the main entrance to get to this area on Monday morning.

All students, new and returning, will be escorted to their buses at the end of the school day on Monday. Any children who are being picked up can be collected at the amphitheatre.

Our building is looking fantastic and ready to start what will be a great year in Primary.

I wish you a restful weekend and I am excited to welcome you on Monday morning.

Thanks
