Christmas Celebration Week

As we reach the end of the academic term it truly has been a fantastic term , one worthy of celebration but also reflection.

During the last few weeks of term, it has been fantastic to truly observe what a tight-knit community NAIS Pudong is. Throughout the school, our oldest students have thrived on taking care of the youngest students in our school taking a leading role supporting the students with their Christmas festivities. We have enjoyed the benefits of many of our very own NAIS traditions from the Secret Santa store to the raffle baskets, Early Years performances, choir and music ensembles to the joy of seeing all our staff outside waving farewell to the students as they head home.

Of course, this year has been like no other and it is important to take a moment to consider the sacrifices many are making on a daily basis to ensure our school community is safe and able to welcome children into school for daily face to face interaction, something we never fail to value and recognise.

As a community, we have developed many new skills along our journey, skills which will continue to develop and flourish from our use of technology to our agility and entrepreneurial ways of solving issues and finding new ways of promoting and ensuring our core values have a greater focus on empathy, wellbeing and care. Here at NAIS Pudong, I believe we have an exceptional team, dedicated to the holistic education of each and every child, supported by our global team of educators connecting our staff and students to the world of other students like them educated in a Nord Anglia Education school.  As we break for the traditional Christmas period perhaps celebrating in a not so traditional manner I wish you all good health, happiness and hope that the holiday period provides a moment of reflection to appreciate how fortunate we are, and how grateful to live in this exciting community.
