Health, safety and wellbeing

Health and safety have always been a priority for NAIS Pudong, and we are provided with extensive support from both Nord Anglia’s Regional and Central offices. Throughout the COVID period, we have continued to follow strict protocols to keep our community safe – and I sincerely thank you, the parents, for your support.

In addition to constantly reviewing our COVID-19 protocols, we must remain diligent in all measures designed to ensure the safety of those in our care. Today we took a moment during the lovely morning sunshine to rehearse our evacuation procedures, during our first fire drill of the new academic year. I am always thrilled to see how mature our students behave during these drills – especially our youngest children, who remained calm and composed whilst exiting the building.

As a school, we want to ensure our young people are not just academically prepared for the future, but socially and emotionally as well.

Our students have been working hard throughout the week on many aspects of learning. As a school, we want to ensure our young people are not just academically prepared for the future, but socially and emotionally as well. This means equipping them with resilience and the life skills required to handle whatever challenges they face. This year, we have put an emphasis on student wellbeing, and some members of our IB team are developing a student-friendly wellbeing centre.

global campus

As you may know, we have recently launched our revamped Global Campus, which connects our students to their 67,000 Nord Anglia classmates across the globe. I encourage you to explore the activities available with your child – several of which are focused on wellbeing. This week, our students took part in a Global Campus activity during their PE lessons, called the 2K Global Run. This was a great team effort and we look forward to seeing how their results track alongside their global peers.
