Nord Anglia International School Shanghai, Pudong (NAIS Pudong) caters to students from 12 months to 18 years and is divided into Primary and Secondary.
Principal Mrs Lesley-Ann Wallace has oversight of all elements of school life across the whole school.
Primary
Primary consists of our Early Years (Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Reception) as well as Years 1 to 6. Year 6 is an important transition year for students who will move on to Secondary, and as such they transition to wearing the secondary uniform and their lunchtime coincides with their secondary peers.
Head of Primary is Mrs Lisa Passante who is supported by Deputy Head of Primary, Mr Barrie Scrymgeour. Each student is placed into a class and within their year group there is a Year Leader who coordinates academics and whole-of-year activities. Mrs Tamara Keenan leads our Early Years.

Secondary
Secondary consists of Years 7 to 11 and the IB Academy (Years 12 and 13), and is supported by two Deputy Heads, Ms Carol Camargo and Ms Therese Andrews.
Students in Secondary are each placed in a form class with a form tutor, and each year group has a Year Leader with responsibilities across the whole year group. Key subjects in Secondary, such as English, Maths, Science and Technology and the Humanities also have Subject Leaders who are responsible for ensuring that high quality teaching and learning takes place in their respective subjects.
Students in Year 10 and 11 study the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) which culminates in examinations for each subject at the end of Year 11.
The IB Academy is part of Secondary; however, as the students are studying towards the IB Diploma which requires a large amount of independent work, supported by teaching staff, the structure of this part of the school is tailored to meet their needs. Learning in the IB Academy is overseen by Mr Bevan Graham, Head of the IB Academy and students are placed in form classes with form tutors. The very important components of the IB Diploma – the Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge and CAS – each have a leader who works with the students on these areas. A Higher Education Adviser also assists students in preparing for university applications and interviews.
