Be a part of a great group of volunteers, who focus activities around the school to welcome new families, raise awareness of local charities and get us all together socially.
We encourage all parents to take part in the many and varied activities that take place at school. From being an active part of your child’s class and assisting teachers with class activities, to helping organise our major school events, taking part gives a real sense of belonging and many rewards.
Our Parents Community Association is a volunteer body that takes a leading role in working with the school to support all new families to settle in to life at our school and in the broader community. The New Families Coordinator and Country Liaison Officer are able to help answer any questions parents might have about life in Shanghai, as well as to link parents with families of similar language and background.
The PCA takes a leading role in organising many of our school events, including the Summer Festival, International Food Fair and the Christmas Bazaar which are also important fundraisers for our school charities. Ask any student and they will tell you these events are a major highlight of our school calendar and truly enrich school life, giving students the opportunity to assist with fundraising and contribute to community life.
Class Representatives play a very important role in bringing parents together and supporting class life. Each class has their own Class Representative who will pass on important information and organise social events for parents. The Class Rep will be in touch with all parents at the start of term.
