Sarah graduated from Surrey University with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Music and Education and completed her PGCE Early Years at Sunderland University. Additionally, she has undertaken TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) to Level 5 and achieved both DipABRSM (Instrumental Teaching) and LRSM (Music Performance).
Following her graduation, Sarah established and operated an Early Years Unit in Gloucestershire (UK), before moving to Australia where she worked as a Primary Music Teacher and led the Junior (6 – 14) Lifesaving Programmes at Mount Martha Lifesaving Club (MMLSC). Sarah has taught within our Early Years since 2018 and has developed our Pre-Nursery Provision.
Sarah has an enthusiasm and passion for music in Early Years education. She loves how it ignites all areas of child development and skills for school readiness, including intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language and overall literacy, helping the body and mind work together as a team and enable children to explore and discover their full potential.
Originally from the UK Sarah lived in Australia for 7 years before moving to China with her family in 2017. She lives with her husband Garry and daughter Rebekah who is a student in Secondary. Sarah also has a daughter Hannah who is studying at Melbourne University having graduated from NAIS Pudong in 2018 and a son George who is studying at Deakin University in Melbourne having graduated from NAIS Pudong in 2020. Other than her family, her great passions are Music, Music Performance, Photography and Cooking.
