    Laura Baxter

    Laura graduated with a Bachelor of Education from Aberdeen University in 2012. Having gained her QTS in a large open plan school in the North East of Scotland, Laura knew her next step would be to embark on her career as an international teacher. Laura spent a whirlwind year teaching a Year 3 class in Kuwait before jetting off to South America. For the next three years, Laura taught in a private British school working in both Reception and Year 1. Laura also had the pleasure of facilitating the highly successful Junior student council for 2 years.

    Andrew Lowery

    Andrew began his career in education by teaching Secondary English in Nottingham, UK. He subsequently taught Year 6 for five years at an international school in Ipoh, Malaysia. In 2016 he took up the position of Year 6 class teacher and Upper Key Stage 2 Leader at NAIS Pudong, and then Assistant Head Teacher in 2017.

    Andrew’s proudest achievements include recently completing his Masters Degree from King's College London which is a unique professional development opportunity for selected Nord Anglia Education staff. 

    He loves working at NAIS Pudong with a friendly and optimistic group of staff and students. He enjoys working with all ages of children in a variety of subjects and loves the cultural understanding which is possible in a diverse international school. Creating fascination, motivation and enthusiasm in a group of students is what attracted him to the profession, and continue to be the best part of the job.

    Emma Styles

    Growing up in Hong Kong and Dubai instilled an instant passion within Emma for the international curriculum and travelling. When the opportunity arose to work in a school as impressive as NAIS Pudong, Emma knew she could not pass it up. Emma graduated with an English Literature and Drama degree from Royal Holloway, University of London in 2015 and completed her PGCE in Primary Education with a specialism in English in 2016. She began her teaching career in a small Primary school in the South East of England, teaching Year 3 and leading the History and Geography department. Due to her high level of interest towards the performing arts, Emma ran drama, choir, dance and cheer. After completing three years at the school, Emma made the exciting move to Shanghai and began working in Primary at NAIS Pudong in 2019. She thoroughly enjoys teaching students and creating a classroom that is nurturing, inspiring and focused. Emma utilises her enthusiasm towards theatre when running the Drama Club as well as in her lessons.
