Rachel Morris

Rachel Morris

Year 1 Class Teacher and Primary Maths Leader

Rachel is from Wales, United Kingdom where she received her BA (Hons) Primary Education degree at Swansea Metropolitan University in 2008. Rachel was fortunate to begin her teaching career in London teaching Year One. Rachel then continued to develop her career further by moving to Cairo to start her first international post as a Year Two teacher. After five years with many positions in management including Deputy Head, Rachel took the opportunity to move to Dubai where she was Head of EYFS and KS1.

Rachel joined NAIS Pudong in 2016 after deciding a move to Shanghai was the perfect fit due to its diverse and vibrant nature. She has loved every minute teaching here and her role as Primary Maths Leader as she is passionate about developing children's skills in problem solving  and numerical skills.

In her spare time, Rachel is a regular visitor to Craft Shanghai, to learn sewing skills and develop her creative side. She enjoys socialising with her friends, especially going to see concerts or a new film at the cinema. Rachel tries to keep fit as often as possible by going swimming or to the gym. Her main interest is to travel the world and she goes to a new place at any given opportunity. Rachel has enjoyed exploring China since she arrived, sleeping in a tent on the Great Wall will be an experience she will never forget!
