Head of Secondary Academics
Bevan started his teaching career in 1994. Before moving to China, he taught in Johannesburg South Africa as well as Dumfries in Scotland. Bevan has worked for Nord Anglia Education for many years, having joined the team at the Pudong Campus in December 2007 as Music Coordinator. During his time at the school he has been privileged to work with many students from all over the world in a range of different capacities. Bevan’s roles at NAIS Pudong have included secondary music coordinator, extended essay coordinator, IB form tutor, Extended essay supervisor, TOK coordinator, CAS advisor and IB Diploma Programme coordinator. Bevan has recently been given the fantastic opportunity of taking care of the Secondary provision and believes it is a privilege to head up our well-established Secondary School.

Head of IB Academy
Emma is a Highly Experienced IB practitioner. In addition to the teaching of English Language and Literature, Film, Theory of Knowledge and English Literature, she leads the Extended Essay provision as a core component of the IB Diploma provision. In addition, Emma supervises interdisciplinary World Studies essays as well as subject specific essays in Film and Literature. Emma is furthermore an active member of the IB Educator Network and is a qualified examiner in a range of components. Emma’s wealth of experience as well as student focused approach makes her the ideal member of the team to lead the IB Academy at NAIS Pudong.
Deputy Head of Secondary
Greg joined the NAIS Pudong community in August 2015. Before coming to China, Greg taught in Cambridgeshire for nine years. During his time in the United Kingdom he taught History whilst holding a variety of leadership positions including department head in History, Critical Thinking and Personal Social and Health Education (PSHE). Since joining our school Greg has continued to teach a wide range of subjects including History, Global Perspectives and Theory of Knowledge. As Key Stage 4 leader, Greg has played an integral role ensuring highly successful GCSE provision in Years 10 and 11. As part of this role Greg has not only worked with students on achieving academic success but has also supported their journey to becoming active and internationally minded global citizens. As an experienced IB practitioner, Greg worked with curriculum leaders, teachers and students to guarantee a smooth transition from the IGCSE courses to the IB Diploma Programme. Greg is pragmatic and organised. As such he has taken a leading role in the planning and running many of our trips such as Project Week, the Adventurous Journeys for the International Award and the Tanzania Expedition. Greg’s main interests out of school include sports. He models a balanced approach by coaching NAIS Pudong football teams.

English Teacher and Head of Key Stage 3
Anna joined our school in 2015. It soon became evident that Anna is a great inspiration for the students and her colleagues due to her passion for literature, art drama and music. Anna is a graduate of the University of Oxford where she studied English Language and Literature. Following her time at Oxford, Anna continued her studies at Cambridge University where she studied education and drama. Anna is also a talented musician and as an advanced singer has been a member of madrigal ensembles. Following her graduation, she taught in various London schools for eleven years. During this time, she held various positions including Head of English and Senior Academic Mentor in a large sixth form. Anna very much enjoys the exciting opportunities at NAIS Pudong and working with such enthusiastic and positive students.
